From FC Robo to the heights of Paris: Rasheedat Ajibade seals record-breaking move

Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade has completed a landmark transfer to French giants Paris Saint-Germain Féminines.

The move crowns a remarkable journey for the Nigerian forward, who once helped her mother sell shoes in Lagos while nurturing her passion for football. By the age of ten, she was already playing for Lagos-based FC Robo before moving abroad to Norwegian side Avaldsnes Idrettslag, and later Atlético Madrid Femenino in Spain.

Her story is one of resilience, discipline, and relentless ambition. That determination now takes her to the French capital, where she will play at the pinnacle of European women’s football.

Ajibade signed a two-year deal with PSG, with an option for an additional year, and is set to feature in the UEFA Women’s Champions League next season.

EaglesTracker understands that Rasheedat has started training with the club upon arrival, and will don the jersey number "10" with PSG Women.

She becomes the second Nigerian international in the Paris squad, joining Jennifer Echegini, who arrived from Juventus in July 2024.
