26-year old Super Falcons captain, Asisat Oshoala completed her incredible 2020/2021 season with FC Barcelona Femeni by winning a historic treble. They have won the Spanish Primera Iberdrola, Spanish Copa de la Reina and the UEFA Women’s Champions League this season.
The Spanish giants have overwhelmed every opponent this season. They defeated Francisca Ordega’s Levante 4-2 on Sunday in the Copa de la Reina final. Oshoala featured as a second half substitute while Ordega was unused in the encounter.
Superzee, as she is fondly referred to by her supporters, was impressive as usual this season. She scored 13 goals and provided 2 assists in 20 appearances for Barcelona this season, despite missing time out with a nagging foot injury.
Oshoala continues her rise to the top in world football and dominance of African football, and looks well on her way to securing a record fifth CAF African Player of the Year Award.

Since joining Barcelona Femeni from Dalian Quanjian in 2019 , Asisat Oshoala has been a household name in the Primera Iberdrola.
Oshoala who was primed to do great things after her excellent display at the 2014 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup didn’t rank among the best of the best in the world of football despite playing for Liverpool Ladies , Arsenal Women andDalian Quanjian. Most of Oshoala’s career successes came with the Super Falcons, where she won three CAF Footballer Of The Year awards (2014, 2016 & 2017) until tides changed in 2019 after she became a deadline day for Spanish Giants, FC Barcelona.
The 25 year old joined the team on a loan, and had a run of good games scoring 8 goals in 11 appearances during the second half of 2018/19 season, going on to win her fourth CAF African Women’s Player Of The Year award. The following season , Oshoala proved to everyone that her goalscoring run wasn’t a fluke as she netted 20 goals in 19 league matches on their way to the Primera Iberdrola title.
