ENGLAND

In the English Premier League, Frank Onyeka featured for 81 minutes as Brentford defeated Machester City [1-0] to become the only club to complete the double over the champions this season.

Taiwo Awoniyi netted his tenth league goal of the campaign to lift Nottingham Forest to an impressive [1-1] draw at Crystal Palace.

It was Awoniyi's sixth goal in four matches this month, making him the early favourite for the Premier League Player of the Month for May.

Alex Iwobi impressed for Everton as the Toffees defeated Bournemouth [1-0] to escape relegation on the final day of the season.

Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi were not that lucky as Leicester City got relegated despite beating West Ham United [2-1] at the King Power Stadium.

BELGIUM

Tolu Arokodare provided the assist for the opening goal of the game as KRC Genk threw the Belgian Pro League title race open with a [1-3] victory over Raphael Onyedika and Club Brugge. Yira Sor was also in action for KRC Genk.

Victor Boniface was a late sub in Royale Union Saint Gilloise's [1-1] draw against Royal Antwerp.

ITALY

Victor Osimhen took a huge step towards finishing the season as the top scorer in Serie A as he bagged a brace in Napoli's [2-2] draw with Bologna.

Osimhen now has 25 league goals, four more than his closest challenger Lautaro Martinez with only one more game left. No African player has ever won Serie A's top goalscorer award.
