Inter Milan Legend tips Osimhen on how to increase his goals
Despite being one of the best goalscorers in Italy and Europe, the Italian has a piece of advice for Victor Osimhen.
Super Eagles and Napoli star, Victor Osimhen has been advised by Christian Vieri, to adjust the direction in which he shoots the ball if he wishes to increase his goal tally.
Osimhen is Napoli's most expensive signing in club history but is yet to fully justify the 75 million euros the Italian club spent Lille two years ago for his talents.
Following a tough debut season in which the 23-year-old scored 10 goals in 24 appearances in the Serie A, Osimhen has improved.
Despite being limited by injury, the former Wolfsburg attacker has managed to score eleven goals and provide four assists in 22 games so far this season.
Vieri was prolific during his days as he scored 123 goals in 190 appearances for Inter Milan in six years and he feels Osimhen can score more goals if he switches his shooting direction.
“He always kicks at the near post, he has to shoot at the far post instead,” Vieri told Bobo TV as per daily news24.
“Since he is a great player, I tell him that when he gets in front of the goal, he must kick diagonally, not at the near post.”
“You never kick at the near post. If he starts to kick diagonally, he will score many more goals.”
