  • The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has invited 27 players for the Super Eagles' two international friendlies with Ghana and Mali this month.
  • Nigeria will meet with Ghana's Black Stars on March 22nd and Mali's Eagles on March 26th in the Moroccan city of Marrakech.

Twenty-seven players have been called up for the two games, comprising three goalkeepers, ten defenders, five midfielders, and nine attackers.

Nigeria have retained the bulk of the squad that finished as runners-up at the 34th Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire. Still, captain Ahmed Musa, William Troost-Ekong, Zaidu Sanusi, Ola Aina, Joe Aribo, and Terem Moffi all miss out.

In their absence, Wilfried Ndidi, Jamilu Collins, Tyronne Ebuehi, Nathan Tella, Umar Sadiq, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Cyriel Dessers, and Taiwo Awoniyi all receive a recall to the international fold.

There is a first Super Eagles call-up for Luton Town centre-back, Gabriel Osho, following his impressive displays in the English Premier League.

Tanzania-based Benjamin Tianimu will also be teaming up with the group for the first time.

Goalkeepers: Stanley Nwabali (Chippa United, South Africa); Francis Uzoho (AC Omonia, Cyprus); Ojo Olorunleke (Enyimba FC)
