  • The Belgian Pro League has announced the nominations for the highly anticipated Ebony Shoe, an esteemed accolade presented annually to recognize the outstanding African or African-origin player in the league.

Among the nominees for this year's prestigious award are Victor Boniface and Gift Orban, both of whom have made remarkable impacts on the Belgian football scene.

Victor Boniface, a standout performer for Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, has captured the attention of fans and pundits alike with his impressive displays throughout the season.

The talented forward has found the back of the net on eight occasions and provided seven assists, establishing himself as a key contributor in Union Saint-Gilloise's excellent campaign in the Jupiler Pro League.

Gift Orban, a recent arrival in the Belgian football landscape, has wasted no time leaving a lasting impression.

Since his January transfer to the league, the 20-year-old has taken the Jupiler Pro League by storm, scoring an impressive 11 goals and contributing two assists in just 12 matches for the Buffalos.

The award holds significant prestige within the Belgian football community and has been previously won by notable Super Eagles players, including Daniel Amokachi, Victor Ikpeba, Celestine Babayaro, Godwin Okpara, and Paul Onuachu.
