Awoniyi wins Nottingham Forest's POTM and GOTM awards for August

• Taiwo Awoniyi has claimed two prestigious club awards, firmly establishing himself as Nottingham Forest's standout performer for the month of August.
• The first of these accolades is the coveted Player of the Month award, which Awoniyi clinched in recognition of his stellar performance on the pitch.

He delivered three impressive goals and one assist in just four Premier League appearances this term.

During the month under review, the Super Eagles striker found the back of the net thrice in as many matches.

Awoniyi's scoring streak spanned seven consecutive Premier League games, making him only the third African player ever to achieve such a remarkable milestone.

Awoniyi's incredible tally of nine goals in seven consecutive Premier League outings, the first Forest player to achieve the same, earning him a well-deserved nomination for the August Premier League Player of the Month.

Not content with just the Player of the Month honour, Awoniyi has also claimed the August Goal of the Month award.

Awoniyi's excellent run and finish against Manchester United at Old Trafford won the award for the former Union Berlin star.

Of particular note, two of Awoniyi's three Premier League goals in August were in contention for this coveted award. However, it was his exceptional strike at Old Trafford that prevailed, securing 38% of the votes from fans.
