Victor Osimhen named Nigerian Player of the Month for February

- Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen has been named the winner of the EaglesTracker Player of the Month for February 2023 after another string of exceptional performances.
Quite a few Nigerian stars were at their brilliant best in the month under review.
Kelechi Iheanacho's eye-catching goals dragged him back to the first-team picture at Leicester City. Asisat Oshoala was unstoppable in Spain as her consistent goalscoring form kept Barcelona's winning run on the roll. Samuel Chukwueze became the main man at Villarreal, while Odion Ighalo fired the goals that powered Al Hilal to the final of the Asian Champions League.
Still, Victor Osimhen was a class apart.
The 24-year-old scored in every match he played in February for Napoli, starting with a brace in the 3-0 defeat of Spezia.
Osimhen scored one each in the thrashing of Cremonese and the 2-0 humbling of Sassuolo before he swept home a stunning finish in the 2-0 win at Eintracht Frankfurt on his return to Germany in the UEFA Champions League.
The former Lille lad ended the month with a pure poacher's finish in the away victory at Empoli to complete his haul of six goals in five games.
And after such an excellent return in February, it is no surprise to see Osimhen named the best Nigerian player in the world.
