On Tuesday, Nigeria will host Ghana at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.

60,000 people would be permitted inside the stadium for the second leg of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifying playoffs, according to Oluwatoyin Ibitoye, a former Super Eagles media officer.

At the Baba Yara stadium in Kumasi, Ghana, the first leg ended goalless. Ghana is accused of allowing nearly 70,000 fans into a stadium designed to contain 40,000.

“I think FIFA has to take action against Ghana. Just for how unsafe it was out there,” before adding “COVID-19 precautions were not followed”, Nigerian Ex footballer, Daniel Amokachi said.

With everything still up for grabs based on the first leg result, the Super Eagles will need to win to realize their goal of reaching their seventh World Cup appearance in Qatar.

Ahmed Musa, the captain of the Super Eagles, urged Nigerians to come out in force and be the team’s 12th man.

Since their initial meeting in the 1950s, the two West African nations have met 57 times. The 58th meeting of one of football’s most historic rivalries will take place on Tuesday.
