Anthony Nwakaeme sets personal record in Trabzonspor’s league win
Anthony Nwakaeme scored once more in the Turkish Superlig on Saturday. He has now surpassed his personal best in terms of goal scored, since joining Trabzonspor in 2018.

In the 37th minute, Trabzonspor’s Abdulkadir Omür scored the second goal of the game, before Nwakeme assisted Djaniny for Trabzonspor’s third goal.
Nwakaeme had 10 goals and ten assists during the 2018/19 season, and he has already eclipsed those numbers this season.
He has 21 goal contributions in 23 appearances this season and is a strong candidate for Turkish Super Lig Player of the Season.
Trabzonspor are top of the league with their closest rival, Konyaspor, sitting 18 points adrift.
Last season, Nwakaeme contributed 12 goals in 34 league games. His previous best seasons were 2018/19 and 2019/20, when he had 20 in 27 games and 17 in 29 games.
The 32-year old attacker has one cap for the Super Eagles, in 2018.
