Sadiq Umar named La Liga Smartbank Player of The Month
Through the month of February, the lanky forward was always getting a goal involvement. He became unstoppable in the La Liga SmartBank division.
Super Eagles and UD Almeria’s striker, Umar Sadiq has won the La Liga SmartBank Player of the Month award for February. It is a testament to his exploits that helped Almeria go unbeaten in February 2022.
Since his return from AFCON, Umar has single-handedly pushed the Andalusian club’s promotion chase.
Almeria had failed to impress in his absence, claiming just one point from a possible fifteen.
The 25-year old found the back of the net five times and provided two assists in four games, to win maximum points for Almeria in February.
