Babatunde Adeniji and Ogenyi Onazi ran the show as Aladalah Club ran out 0-2 winners over Al Jeel on Monday night.

It was a Nigerian show as Saudi Arabian side, Aladalah Club ran out 0-2 winners over Al Jeel on Monday night. They had two Nigerians on parade as they earned an impressive away victory.

Ogenyi Onazi was in the starting XI of the Al-Hulaylah based side while Babatunde Adeniji started from the bench. They however needed a super sub masterclass from Adeniji to secure all three points.

Adeniji came on the 60th minute and opened the scoring with an easy finish in the 54th minute. He then sealed the victory in stoppage time courtesy of an assist from Super Eagles midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi.

This win helped Aladalah climb to the top of the league table. They now sit ahead of Al-Khaleej with two points.

Saudi Arabia’s first division is a 20 team league where three clubs are directly promoted to the Pro League, on the other hand, four clubs are directly relegated to the Second Division.

Aladalah Club was also home to super eagles star John Ogu during the 2019/2020 season.
