Victor Osimhen and Lille qualify for Europa League from Ligue 1

2019/2020 Ligue 1 season is cancelled.

Lille qualify for UEFA Europa League in 4th place.

Bordeaux finish 12th.

Nantes finish in the 13th spot.

The 2019/2020 French Ligue 1 season has been officially called off by the LFP Board of Directors today following an announcement by the Prime Minister of France on Wednesday that no major sports event will take place in the country until September.

The final Ligue 1 standings were determined based on an average of points earned per match played, with head-to-head used to break any ties.

As for the Nigerian players playing in the French Ligue 1, Victor Osimhen and LOSC Lille have finished in fourth place and qualified for the 2020/2021 UEFA Europa League.

Josh Maja and Samuel Kalu both feature for Girondins de Bordeaux, who have placed 12th, with Moses Simon’s Nantes finishing just behind them in 13th.
