What Odion Ighalo can’t wait to do after the coronavirus lockdown

Odion Ighalo has revealed the thing he misses the most and can’t wait to do once the coronavirus lockdown ends.

Speaking with fellow Nigerian and Heart of Midlothian forward, Uche Ikpeazu on an Instagram Live conversation, the 30-year old Manchester United striker revealed that the thing he misses the most is being on the field and being able to train with his teammates.

He said: “I can’t wait to go back to the training ground and see those lads, work together with them and all that, so when the quarantine is over I just have to go back to the team and work hard. We have to finish the season well, we have a target, we have a goal you know, and we want to achieve that goal. We were on the right path before they stopped the games so we just have to get back and end the season well, which I believe we can do because we’re in the right frame of mind. Unfortunately this [coronavirus] stopped the game, but life is more important now.”

Manchester United were on an 11-game unbeaten run in all competitions before the suspension of the season and Ighalo has scored 4 goals in 8 appearances since joining the English Premier League giants on loan from Shanghai Shenhua on transfer deadline day in January, 2020.
