Iheanacho, 23, signed for Manchester City in July 2015, following a successful showing at the 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup where he scored 6 goals and assisted 5 others on the way to lifting the trophy with the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria and winning the tournament’s Golden ball.
Leicester City and Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho has revealed the player that helped him the most to settle into life at Manchester City and the Premier League.
Speaking on an Instagram Live session with popular Nigerian comedian, Funnybone, Kelechi declared that although he was loved by all at the club, Frenchman, Gael Clichy took him under his mentor-ship and taught him the ropes of being a Premier League footballer.
Kelechi Iheanacho scored 21 goals and assisted 8 others in 81 appearances for Manchester City before joining compatriot, Wilfred Ndidi at Leicester City for €27.70m in August 2017.

Despite not making many appearances earlier in the season and losing his spot in the Super Eagles squad, Iheanacho has been able to score 8 goals for Leicester City this season, one goal every 117 mins.
With his form on the rise just before the coronavirus pandemic, Kelechi would be hoping to be able to get back on the field and amongt the goals ASAP.
