24-year old Super Eagles midfielder, Oghenekaro Peter Etebo has joined Spanish La Liga side, Getafe CF on loan from Stoke City for the rest of the 2019/2020 season. The deal includes an option to buy at the end of the season.
Etebo, who has struggled for form with Stoke City in the England EFL Championship this season, would be hoping to recapture his form of 2017/2018, when he put in impressive performances for Las Palmas in the La Liga (which earned him the move to Stoke City).
Getafe are currently placed 6th in the La Liga, whereas Stoke City are struggling in the 21st spot in the EFL Championship, only one point clear of relegation.
The transfer is subject to Etebo receiving his Spanish visa and work permit.
He will almost certainly not be able to play this Saturday against Real Madrid in the Coliseum, but the hope is that he can make his debut against Badalona next Saturday, January 11 in the Copa del Rey 3rd round.
What do you think of the move ? Do you think he can shine in Spain ?
